Have you ever been ignored? Have you ever given grace to someone who didn't deserve it and were rejected? Have you ever felt jilted for doing what was right? Have you ever imagined how God has felt about the same? Even from you?

There is a branch of professing Christianity, which is not Christianity at all, that emphasizes the necessity of personal faith in order to make things happen according to one's own desires. It is known variously as 'Word of Faith', 'Hyper Faith' and 'Name it, Claim it' among other distinctions. While very popular in charismatic circles it is not at all biblical Christianity but rather, is what is known as 'Fideism', or 'faith in faith', the epistemological concept that one's own faith in a thing will bring that thing to pass. It is, in reality, a concept that is both idolatry and witchcraft, not Biblical Christianity, and sadly it is everywhere..

The Bible exhorts Christians not only to read the Scriptures but to STUDY them in order that they may discern and prove what is true and thereby reject error. The primary reason why there are so many false teachers and by consequence false Christians in the professing Christian Church today (predominately over-represented in the charismatic and progressive leftist/liberal sector) is that Christians have largely failed to do just that. 'Study to show yourselves approved", while primarily an admonition to men called by God into the office of overseer (ie: pastor) applies to ALL Christians, and is not a suggestion but rather a command. (2 Timothy 2:15)

In the Book of Revelation, chapter 3 and verse 20 Jesus said "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me". Many Christians use this passage as a Gospel invitation for lost people to accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour but this passage is NOT speaking of that at all.

We live in a world where many, if not most people believe they are free to decide what is right and wrong in their own eyes according to what they believe according to a sliding moral scale of their own choosing, that there are no 'absolute' standards by which they must abide, and where people believe they are free to do as they please without any kind of consequence. This is a myth... an eternally deadly one.

The world intrinsically hates the truth, and as a consequence attacks those proclaiming it. But Christians need to remember that those who hate them are in the first instance hating the God who sent them - says God. (John 15:18).
