Richard Patten was arrested for praying by and anointing the White House with Anointing Oil. At the time of his arrest he had no weapons on him nor anything that would have posed a threat to the President or anyone in the White House. His only intention was to pray for the President's life and for the good of this nation. In truth, there was no lawful or just reason for his arrest.

The 1st Amendment gives everyone in America the freedom of religion and the right to exercise it.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." - The 1st Amendment Of The United States
