If I Open My Eyes

If I open my eyes, I might see a new way
new developments are happening each day

If I open my ears, I might learn about you,
new ideas can be heard, many or few

If I open my heart, I might feel a strange beat
new rhythms of life and people to meet

If I open my mind, I might learn to think
new ideas connecting, I see how they link

If I open my dreams, I might go to new places
new experiences and meeting new faces

If I open my mouth, I might say the right word
new encouragement that needed to be heard

If I open my soul, I might connect to Creator
new enlightenment for now and later

If I open my lungs, I might breathe in new life
new restoration diminishing strife

If I open my body, I might heal old ills
new cures await instead of new pills

If I open my arms, I might welcome a hug
new way to heal without any drug

If I open my door, I might greet a new friend
new connections could last til the end
