Answers are in the definition of the word, notice food?
Fornication g4202 πορνεία porneia; from 4203; harlotry (including adultery and incest); idolatry: — fornication.
I. illicit sexual intercourse
A. adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, intercourse with animals etc.
B. sexual intercourse with close relatives; Lev. 18
C. sexual intercourse with a divorced man or woman; Mk. 10:11,12
II. metaph. the worship of idols
A. of the defilement of idolatry, as incurred by eating the sacrifices offered to idols
Mark 10:2-9 And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him. And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
11 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery
Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
ESV 1 Cor 7:10 To the married I give this charge (not I, but the Lord): the wife should not separate from her husband
Bill of divorce for sake of "fornication" is due to hardness of heart and "uncleaness" in Deut 24
Mat 19:7 Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
He saith unto them, -- Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery
Fornication here refers to the provision of "uncleanness" with bill of divorce. Law of "uncleanness" or nakedness.
After this posted, I noticed a difference in the way the Ancient Greek reads in Mat 19:9 "shall divorce the wife of him NOT for sexual immortality." It says "mē" which means No, while the KJV has "except" and Greek words "εἰ μἦ ei mē."
