The Rae Lakes Loop is one of the most popular hikes in Sequoia and Kings Canyon, if not in the entire Sierra. The loop is approximately 45 miles long, and climbs from about 5000' (1535m) at the trailhead to 11,978' (3651m) at Glen Pass. Located near Cedar Grove, California the trail features small lakes, numerous streams, beautiful meadows and dramatic mountain vistas and is rated as difficult. High water at stream crossings can be a problem in May and early June. Glen Pass may be impassable to hikers until mid-late July.
This trail is absolutely amazing! It is made more enjoyable by going with others and as you see all the beauty may your mind be moved to worship the Creator of this all, God.
