There’s an important factor that needs to be considered. Harris doesn’t shoulder the responsibility of solving the border crisis. If you really care about the negative impact on American society from the surge of illegal immigrants, if you really have any compassion for those unaccompanied migrant children and their possibly horrific experience as victims of child trafficking, you WOULDN’T laugh. Can you imagine how the press would react if it was former Vice President Pence who laughed at the question? The point is, a normal person doesn't laugh in this situation.

The Biden administration is spending $86 million to lodge migrants who cross over the border in hotel rooms. US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has signed a contract to provide temporary shelter and processing services for families placed in migration proceedings to be removed from the United States. The $86 million contract will provide 1,200 hotel beds with other services for at least six months.
