Even as a child, I knew that my idea of success would be a tough marriage between practicality and self expression. Pressures from my parents to be a lawyer or doctor went against my most natural inclinations to create art. Still, the necessity to be financially stable, even if just to be able to pay the bills, took the forefront while my artistic needs were suppressed for most of my adult life.Show more

But not anymore. Today, I reside in beautiful Southern California, and have been living a practical-artsy hybrid life as both a scientist and international fine artist. When I lose focus or feel the low lows of 2020 getting to me, I have to remind myself that I’ve made the best, conscious choices to make my dreams as a little girl become my reality.

I’m living my purpose and I’m living my dream: they are one and the same.
