Iran releases footage of ‘missile city’

The seasons change, people (and pandemics) come and go, but one constant throughout it all is the desire for countries to show off their military might.

The latest bit of geopolitical willy-waving comes from Iran, which has released footage from inside a brand-new secret base or ‘missile city’.
It shows row upon row of ballistic and cruise missiles, and ‘electronic war’ equipment.

The base was officially opened by Iran’s chief commander, Major General Hossein Salami, and the head of its navy, Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, on Monday.

A number of these bases, commonly known as ‘missile cities’, are located around the country.
