Washington Des Moines Marina at night 2016

On the 4th of July, we decided to go down to Des Moines to look for sea life on the shore. The Puget Sound is a protected inlet of the Pacific Ocean, it’s the ocean but without the strong winds or high waves. We were hoping to see Whales, Seals or any other animals of interest. We saw a large Seal in the distance, on the shore we came across crabs, Jellyfish, Sea Urchins, and a large sea slug.
As we were wandering the tide pool with a flashlight, people in the distance started lighting off Fireworks. What a great night.
I hope you enjoy the slide show.
