Supreme Court dismisses Election related lawsuits; FB faces fine of $13M per deleted political post

CPAC, the most influential annual conference for conservatives will be held in Orlando, Florida, from February 25 to 28. President Trump will give remarks on Sunday afternoon to conclude the event, also marking his first public appearance since leaving the White House.

This morning the Supreme Court dismissed a series of remaining lawsuits challenging the 2020 election processes and election results in several states. The dismissed lawsuits include the case against Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, Rep. Mike Kelly’s case against mail-in voting policies in his home state of Pennsylvania, and Trump’s lawsuit against the Wisconsin results amongst others. Meanwhile, on the same day, the supreme court allowed the release of President Trump’s tax returns and other financial records to New York prosecutors.

As of February 20, a total of 15 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and Poland, are ready to introduce new bills to regulate the operation of Facebook. The Polish government is preparing a bill to impose a fine of up to $13 million for each post Facebook deleted for political purposes.
