How much do you really love God? - February 21, 2021

Love is one of the central themes of the Bible. John tells us that God is love (1 Jn 4:8, 16). Both the Old and New Testament teach that the greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength (Deut. 6:5; Mt. 22:37-38; Mk 12:28-30; Lk. 10:25-27), and the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself (Lev. 19:18; Mt. 22:39; Mk 12:31; Lk. 10:27). After the resurrection, Jesus asked Peter if he loved him. Today, we are going to take a close look at this encounter between Jesus and Peter. Then I want you to ask yourself, “How much do I really love God?
