King David was used greatly by God because He trusted in God’s ability to fight his battles.

1Samuel 17
50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.

Matthew 23:12 for those who exert themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted

James 4:6-7 but he gives us more Grace.
That opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble”
Submit yourselves then to God ; resist the devil and he will flee from you, come near to God and he will come near to you

1 John 4:4

Trust Jesus alone to save you and when you do, the giant has no choice but to fall
