David was used greatly by God because He trusted in God’s ability to fight his battles

1Samuel 17
50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.

Matthew 23:12 for those who exert themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted

James 4:6-7 but he gives us more Grace.
That opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble”
Submit yourselves then to God ; resist the devil and he will flee from you, come near to God and he will come near to you

1 John 4:4
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Deuteronomy 20:4
“for the LORD your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’”

Trust Jesus alone to save you and when you do, the giant has no choice but to fall.
