In this episode of Travels with Tommy and Lori, we're exploring a colonial Inn that was the first and now the last, Stagecoach Inn left in Georgia. Built in 1818, this Pre-Civil War structure was built in 1813 by James Wyly, whom later sold it in 1833 to Devereaux Jarrett, the richest man in the area. The Jarrett family lived and operated the Inn for three generations before his granddaughter sold the home and three acres of land to the state of Georgia for a mere $8,000 in 1955. The sale was to ensure the continuity of her grandfather's legacy.

This place is magnificent and immaculately preserved.
Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for children and $1 for children under 6, making this one of the most affordable family outings we've ever visited. Also, they are Covid aware, so only one group of visitors are allowed at a time in individual rooms. Masks are required.
Hours are 9-5 Saturday and Sunday's only!

Also, did we catch a ghost????
