The Other Side of the Story Trailer
There's two sides to every story and the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. What really started the historical feud between the Tilley Bend and Stanley Gap Communities? We think we know and it's a whole lot more than the legends even let on.

DIY Natural Pond Clean Up... Doing it ALL NATURAL….
In this episode, Tommy and I return to our land after almost a year to work on the pond which was overtaken by the invasive duckweed and about three feet of sludge on the bottom. It was a grueling four days and unfortunately it's going to lead into another video in the next few weeks. Because we are environmentally conscious, we're trying our best do everything without the use of herbicides and harsh chemicals that might harm the ecosystem for days to come. It makes for slower progress, but sometimes, the turtle really does win the race!

Curse of the Tilley Bend Witch: Fact or Fiction?
In this episode, Tommy and I visit beautiful Blue Ridge, GA., in search of the truth of the Legend of Elizabeth Jane Bradley, also known as the Tilley Bend Witch.
In 1905, Elizabeth was hung after her community members believed the curse she'd placed on them, as well as a neighboring community, had come true.
Elizabeth's curse was the result of long-standing feud between the Tilley Bend settlement and the residents of neighboring Stanley Gap.
On the day of her hanging, Elizabeth not only extended the curse, but vowed she would return. A year after her death, believing she'd held true to her promise, both communities hung her sister-in-law Mary.
Elizabeth's story still lives in the rich history of the Blue Ridge Mountains and survived long after the feud had been forgotten. But was there any truth to it? Join us as we attempt to uncover the facts.

Pt. 1 of 2...
In this episode we visit the AMAZING Atlanta History Center thinking we were just chasing down another part of the Great Locomotive Chase... the gorgeous Texas, which was instrumental in recapturing the legendary General Locomotive. Instead, we ended up captivated by the Cyclorama, an 1886 painting of Sherman's Siege on Atlanta. The colors and artistry of the painting was breathtaking along with the mind-blowing diorama built in the 1930's.
This History Center has it ALL!!!!! So much, that we're having to break it up into a two part series! We highly encourage anyone who's able, to make the trip to see the awesome displays, but make sure you plan to spend the day as just a few hours will not cut it!

The Meanest Man in Georgia • Clarkesville • Big Time FAIL! • Helen, Georgia
In this episode Tommy and I explore historical downtown Clarkesville, Georgia and learn about Moses Harshaw, the Meanest Man in Georgia (He seriously earned that title), before going off on a failed wild goose chase, looking for ancient ruins in the sleepy mountain backroads between Clarkesville and Helen, GA. Before finding ourselves in downtown Helen for lunch, we spent a few moments visiting Amy's Creek Cemetery.
Lunch was at Slice of Helen. Totally worth it for staff, service, and food! Those burgers were GLORIOUS!
HUGE shoutout to Old Clarkesville Cemetery for the work they're going and the care they're putting into restoring this historical gem!

Along with these historical ruins, Sope Creek is a beautiful urban trail that offers scenic views and birdwatching. The hike down to the mill is easy as long as you pay attention to the exposed root systems along the trail. Total trail length is a 3.6 mile loop. It's definitely a place worth visiting!
Parking is $5 for the day.

In this episode Tommy and I travel to Upstate South Carolina to visit number one and number two on South Carolina's Most Terrifyingly Haunted Road Trip Destinations.

Last Day of our Savannah Trip! Fort Pulaski • Bonaventure Cemetery • Tybee Island
In this episode, Tommy and I wrap up our whirlwind Savannah New Year's trip by visiting the historic Fort Pulaski and the beautifully iconic Bonaventure Cemetery, made famous by the book and movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
Both places have appeared on numerous paranormal television shows and are famous for the alleged ghosts that haunt them.
Fort Pulaski is an architectural marvel with the millions of bricks, moat, drawbridges and tunnels. Built long before the Civil War, it was thought to be impenetrable until, in 1862, it was overtaken by Union Forces. Many have reported seeing soldiers lurking in the stairways and tunnels, as well as hearing footsteps echoing through the chambers of the cavernous fort.
Bonaventure is stepped in mystery and legends, from the fires of the original plantation home, to the graves that now overtake the once glorious homestead. The final resting places of Gracie Watson and Corinne Elliot Lawson, are a constant draw for those interested in the paranormal, as many have reported strange anomalies at those graves, as well as several others throughout Bonaventure. Whether you believe in the paranormal and ghosts, or not.... Bonaventure is a sight to see with it's towering oaks dripping with Spanish Moss.

Star's Thread Mill & Historic Barnett Shoals • Arnoldsville Mill • Fish 'n Chips @ Royal Peasant
In this episode, Tommy and I visit the historic Barnett Shoals and Star's Thread Mill, including the former mill town's cemetery. This 1800's mill once not only produced fine, cotton yarns, but it also provided the first electricity to the Athens and Watkinsville area. Built in 1800, the mill is now just crumbling ruins with very little remnants left of its hay-days.
After that, we journeyed to the ruins of another mill located in Arnoldsville.
From there, we went into Athens to eat at the Royal Peasant for some Guiness and authentic fish and chips.

Blown away at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center!
In this episode, Tommy and I are looking for something to do locally on a rainy day and we decide to check out our town's art center. We were completely blown away by the talent and amassed a huge wish-list of must-have items!
The Quinlan Art Center is free, and because of that, we hope that our local viewers take advantage of the opportunity to see some incredibly talented Georgia artists and patronize a place that brings so much enrichment to our community.
After viewing the incredible art, we attempted lunch, yet again, at the Collegiate Grill in Downtown Gainesville, only to be disappointed -again- by it being closed. We ended up at the Mellow Mushroom, and even though pizza is my number one least favorite, the food was still good and the service was amazing. If the food isn't enough to draw you in, you should totally go for the historical home setting!

People of note who are buried in Arlington... The Telephone Lady; Legendary Sports Caster, Harry Carey; NASCAR Legend Raymond Parks. Highly recommend visiting this gorgeous memorial park whether its to stare in awe at the elaborate monuments or sit and contemplate life. It's truly a place of peace and reflection.
Afterwards, he took me to one of my all-time favorite places, Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken for an amazing lunch!

In this episode, Tommy and I discover that South Carolina has more to offer than just sandy beaches and fantastic seafood. Both places were worth seeing and hold some incredible stories in history! They also offer unique hiking experiences for the waterfall or cave enthusiasts as well as mountain biking trails.
Afterwards, as we journeyed toward home, we stopped off at one of our favorite restaurants, Chef Tommy's Thai Cuisine in Dawsonville, Georgia for lunch, sharing the BEST Pad Thai, fried calamari, and spring rolls, we've found since we started this vlog. When it's that good, you keep going back! We suggest trying it if you ever find yourself in the Dawsonville, Ga, area.
