Take a step away from Reality on this one and you’ll have a lot of fun.
Every year Bonney Lake in Washington hosts a Faery Fare, or a Renaissance fare.
Where you can go see Normal people dressed up in their favorite characters acting as a “walking museum”. They dress and act the part of their character, tell you stories of what life was like at eth time and answer any questions you may have about their characters time,. Some characters are from real history, others aren’t. I saw fairies, nymphs, a dragon slayer, and a pair of vampire hunters, as well as a bunch of regular people dressed up in really bad costumes there to have fun. I saw jousting, fancy horseback riding tricks, real blacksmiths making interesting items, pirates demonstrating boarding techniques and various cannon ball types.
While there you can try your hand at archery, and axe throwing, eat a great variety of unique foods, ride a camel and learn a little about history.
If you go there to photograph, remember, people go there to see and to be seen in their costumes.
They are usually very proud of their costume and usually love posing for you, all you need to do is ask.
