Jewel Javalina

This is Jewel. She's our special interest java. We've been watching Jewel for about 6 months now, since she was just a suckling newborn, not even eating solid food. About 2 weeks ago, we noticed that little Jewel was limping. Poor thing can walk, but her rear left leg is seriously damaged. We think she may have been hit by a car or attacked by a mountain lion. Fortunately, the rest of the herd is patient with her and her mama will often stand by and make sure Jewel gets her share of the food.
