In early April, US health officials said to start wearing masks, they said they believed that coronavirus spreads asymptomatically. Then about 2 months later, The World Health Organization's top infectious disease epidemiologist, Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove, EXPLICITLY said that transmission of the coronavirus by people who aren’t showing symptoms is "very rare”. Then a day later she sort of attempted to walk back her unwalkable comments.
