Everything about this airport is a recipe for disaster. From its altitude at almost 13000ft, to the low visibility that is predominant on the area, and the lack of any IFR guidance system. The airport is not rated for IFR operation and as matter of fact is closed when weather limits the possibility of a normal VFR approach. I managed to land safely due only to the range of instruments that I had on board. Among the instruments used for guidance were the GPS with Terrain Map, Altitude Radar and some incomplete Visual Approach Plates I found Online.
