The Gift (proof there is life after death)

When my teenaged son asked what it meant to be an organ donor and I explained it to him he said that was something he would definitely do. Tragically, I was compelled to honor his wish only a few months later. In the throes of the deepest grief imaginable, I composed these lyrics. It was years before I could even read them so I put them away. As the pain of his death passed I decided it was important to share them in hope others would also consider giving the ultimate gift.
