Life after Ontario Place (Toronto)
Ontario Place opened on May 22, 1971, and operated as a theme park centered around Ontario themes and family attractions until 2012 when the Government of Ontario announced that it would close for redevelopment. It is still open to the public as a park, together with the Trillium Park and the William Davis Trail which opened in 2017. The Budweiser stage is also open during summer and The Cinesphere, the original IMAX theatre was reopened with a new updated projection equipment and shows some classic films regularly. The future of Ontario Place is still uncertain as they are considering to further redevelop the site. Only time will tell. Check out this short video of the current Ontario place.
