Drilling holes in my bowsprit

drilling the bowsprit life is too short for cheap scotch douglas fir inexperienced woodworker

I could have filled the holes in the deck and then just drilled the bowsprit and deck with a properly scibed and aligned process. But no! I did things the hard way. Where's the fun in doing things the easy way?
