Setting Healthy Boundaries

Few people know how to understand or utilize their anger constructively. When we understand that anger is rooted in issues of control and power, we learn that anger signifies we have poor personal boundaries. Personal boundaries separate what we can control from what we cannot control. Suppressing anger leads us to not controlling what we can control and when we vent anger we are trying to control what is not in our power to control. When we learn to take control of ourselves and set healthy personal boundaries we lose the desire to control others and our anger gives way to a sense of peace and self-empowerment, as discussed in this lesson.
