The Poor Clares are an enclosed religious community based in Drumshanbo Co Leitrim. In recent years when numbers fell, some feared the convent could close, they Nuns prayed for vocations, as they always did and those prayers were answered when three Professed Filipino Poor Clare Sisters joined the community in Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim. The Monastery was built in 1864, and in March 2020 the convent will celebrate 150 years of unbroken Perpetual Adoration. On this very special show Mike Mulvihill meets all seven sisters, and he also speaks with Bishops Francis Duffy & Colm O’ Reilly as well author Margaret V Horan and Priests Fr. Frankie Murray, Fr Tony Gilhooly & Fr Peter Burke, with thanks also going to Sister Helen Keegan and Sister Mary Doherty as well as John Flynn and Fr Eamonn O' Connor.
