Machickanee Flowage Pike: Exploring New Water on the Native Slayer Max 12.5
Kayak fishing
The date was October 9th 2020 and the place was the
Machickanee Flowage in Stiles Wisconsin.
The flowage is on Chicken Shack road which crosses highway 141
going north to Iron Mountain Michigan and is just north of
Green Bay Wisconsin.

The flowage is part of the Oconto River System
and is the last dam before the river enters lake Michigan.

I was on my way to Iron Mountain to fish the Menominee River and always
wanted to check this location out. It was super windy so I didn't get to explore
much but I did get a couple of pike in the limited time I had.
I was hoping for some smallmouth bass but that wasn't in the cards.
