Snakebird drying its feathers

This is my first time seeing a snakebird, also called anhinga or American darter. At first, I thought it was just showing off its feathers, but then I learned that it was drying its feathers so it could fly again. Three days later, I saw it at the same spot doing the same thing. To my surprise, it flew with such great strength and speed over to the opposite coast . Such amazing, unique bird.
