Living Benefits Story The Sovann Family
4
After narrowly escaping the Killing Fields of Cambodia as young adults, Nancy and Brian Sovann were incredibly fortunate to come to the United States, where they started a new life together. Little did they know, the life they built for themselves in America would be threatened once again years later, when Brian suffered a stroke. As a result, he was hospitalized for over 20 days. Both of their incomes dropped to zero as Nancy was forced to stop working to care for her husband. The bills were piling up, and Nancy was pushed to the brink of filing for bankruptcy.
