Grouchy? Get Some Rest!

Grouchy? Get Some Rest!
I can tell when I am exhausted, I get snarky! We are better people and have our best days when we get time off to rest our souls. I look at my calendar each week, and as full as it is, I put in time to take a “Sabbath” time out with God. Yes, we need soul rest, we were created to need it.
Most of my impulsive - stupid choices are made when I am exhausted. Our world is so cray-cray in times such as these. There is chaos galore… yep… enough to go around for all of us! We were not created to be able to bear so much havoc, our soul gets tired!
Hurry up…and then wait. A harried life-style is a life that will soon have a “crash and burn” emotional moment. We are just human. There is so much that we can bear before it gets ugly. We need soul rest with Jesus, spending time in Awe of Who He is, God and us, taking time apart with God and leaning into the grateful side of our soul, acknowledging how much we need God, and how much He makes things possible for us. It takes the burden off of us when we look back in heavenly hindsight, and realize… God did that!! Wow! Awe-GOD! Thank you God!
Do you feel like you are on a speed boat that just won’t stop? This is not good, especially if your soul is exhausted already. We need Jesus to rest our soul, to say: Peace Be Still. That quiet time with God, reflecting on the life we have in Him, is so soul resting. So many times God has saved me from doing something impulsive, and making a bad choice which is so easy to do in this hurry up havoc filled chaos of a world we live in. This world is broken, but we don’t have to be broken. It is true that it is so easy to drift from truth to deception, and that makes taking God Time, apart from the worldly view point we feel stuck in, so important. Yes, stopping our lives, getting off the roller coaster, to seeing things from God’s perspective, yes, this a very needed thing to keep us stable in all of our ways.
So, if you feel emotionally spent and very grouchy and short with people today, then you need to stop, take a soul rest with God. We are better people after we have spent time with God, resting our soul. Get to know God, and stand in Awe of Him. We have a precious love in Jesus Christ, and it strengthens our soul when we just soak up that amazing love, and take in the truth of His Word, having a conversation with God through His Word. This makes us soul strong, taking time with God, and strengthening our vital-vertical relationship with God, yielding to God, and resting in His Love! God bless ya.

Stretch~Make Peace

HeartTOHeart
Be a peacemaker. How humility? We should start our New Year off in one of the best ways for us. How? By making peace in those relationships where there has been strife. Are you cold shouldering someone over a strife of the past? Make peace. The calm in your soul benefits you so much because you can hear clearly with God when there is no soul chaos. Being navigated by God’s Holy Spirit is so vital in times such as these. This is why we should do what it takes to make peace in all of our relationships. Do your part to make peace and then leave the rest up to God. God is so amazing at making crooked places of relational strife, straight. So, go and make peace. Humble yourself.

Are You A Fixer?

HeartTOHeart
#1MinuteEncouragement I am a failure at being a fixer! How about You? Any luck? It is hard being a successful Fixer. Only God can change a person's heart. Therefore, I am not the Savior, I am the servant of the Savior, Jesus.
