CUCV M1008 Project Part 5 - Spin On Filter Conversion (With Built-In Primer) for 6.2 Liter Diesel

The original fuel filter in this 1986 M1008 CUCV is leaking and needs to be rebuilt. The original fuel filter base has a connection for the "Water In Fuel" light on the dash as well as a heater connection that warms the fuel up. For these reasons, I will keep and rebuild the original fuel filter base. In the meantime, here's my spin-on conversion build. My favorite features of this particular setup are the built-in primer pump and the fact that the mounting holes on this filter base perfectly line up with the original holes and can be mounted without having to fabricate anything. Even though I want the original filter base back, this setup would be perfectly fine to just leave in the truck forever.
