"The Shakedown" - Backpacking Grandfather Mountain

Although this trip was meant to be the test run for a bigger one coming up, it turned into a unique journey of its own. This one really pushed our limits, but despite the challenge we still remembered to laugh and cut up a little! We used the Grandfather Mountain trail guide/map along with the Gaia GPS app to track our route.

We started at the Profile trailhead (it's free to access the trails from outside the attraction) We took Profile trail to Grandfather trail to Daniel Boone trail. We did have to pay to reserve our campsite though.
