The Bavarian city of Regensburg, Germany resides on the banks of the Danube and has a rich history. The Romans built a fort in Regensburg about AD 90. St. Peter's church (Regensburg Cathedral) towers over the city while the stone bridge that spans the Danube was used by knights on their way to the Holy Lands during the Crusades. The cobblestone streets, colorful buildings and rich history make Regensburg a top attraction in Germany.

On November 1, 2018 - Esther and I spent about 4 hours walking the city streets of Regensburg. We started with the Roman ruins of Porta Praetoria, then made our way to Regensburg Cathedral. We drank coffee across the street from the church then wondered through the city. Eventually we made our way to the ornate St. Emmeram Church. We stopped to get a sausage from the oldest sausage stand in Germany but due to poor planning, I was out of euros when we got there.
