School Bus Fails to Yield, Slams Pickup, LIVINGSTON, November 30, 2020 - At approximately 2:55 pm on November 30, 2020, a white GMC pickup, driven by Tarra Reynolds, 33, of Livingston, was south-bound on the US-59 feeder (Near the Livingston Bus Barn). Reynolds was pulling a horse trailer that had horses inside. As Reynolds pass Bus Road, a Livingston School Bus, driven by Dwayne Whitten, 46, of Livingston, pulled onto the feed and slamming into the passenger's rear side of Reyolds' vehicle. The impact caused Reynolds to slide off the pavement to the left and jack-knive in the grass. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Officers from Livingston Police Department, and Troopers Donny Akers and Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol. Traffic was rerouted during investigation and cleanup. There were no kids on the bus. Reynolds had two small children (one was a 7 year old girl who was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial as a precautionary measure). Amazingly, none of the horses were injured. Whitten was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign. Reynolds' vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. The school bus was transported by East Tex towing.

Special thank you: Ken with Ken's Towing
