Chickens adjusting their crops is commonly mistaken for Gapeworm. Watch as our hen handles crop adjustments.

In this video you will see our young easter egger chicken as she wakes up and adjusts her crop. Crop adjusting happens day and night.

Chickens don't swallow like humans, they stretch their necks and manually move food down into the gizzard and from there nature takes over.

If your chicken shows any extra signs like coughing, sneezing, gasping, constant fast head-shaking, loss of appetite and appearance. Then you should check down your chickens neck for gapeworm.
