My Dogs Got Skunked!

My dogs were too dumb to steer clear of the skunk on my back porch, so they got it smack dab in their snouts. The boxer got it the worst, but they both had to be de-skunked. This involved a concoction of Dawn dish soap, hydrogen peroxide and Oxyclean. No one told me that this mixture was explosive. When I added the peroxide, the stuff erupted all over my kitchen. It was late, we were tired, so the dogs slept outside that hot August night. The next morning they were thoroughly bathed - OUTSIDE and the process was repeated until the stink was faint.

The skunk went on to live his life, and I believe he still lives out there. He just learned to stay on the garden side of the yard, which is fenced off from the dogs.
