All the roads have been shut down, and no one's going anywhere for days. I pray that everyone is safe this cold night, and that it will be enjoyable for everyone.

Extended weather forecast. Next week we could see record lows with wind chills in the single digits. There's a slight chance of snow, but I'm not going to get excited.

Texas is a friendly and welcoming place, but don't move here and criticize the way we do things here, and above all, don't vote for liberal democrats who are more than willing to take are freedoms away. If you are intent on remaining a liberal Democrat, then please consider some other state like Washington, Oregon, Nevada or Virginia. They have everything you want, and a more favorable climate.

December and January are the worst months for allergies in central and south Texas. This stuff is everywhere, and the pollen count is sky high. So, if you are sneezing, itching, wheezing and have watery eyes this is probably the problem. It actually makes some people sick, which is why it's called cedar fever.

Every so many, many years, to the amazement of all, it snows down here in the hill country of Texas. This was on Dec. 7, 2017. It was an amazing and wonderful thing.

There were no professional shows like in years past, but that didn't stop San Antonio from celebrating! They are illegal inside the city, but...😂 As long as you are plain stupid and reckless, or have asshole neighbors, they kind of look the other way.

My dogs were too dumb to steer clear of the skunk on my back porch, so they got it smack dab in their snouts. The boxer got it the worst, but they both had to be de-skunked. This involved a concoction of Dawn dish soap, hydrogen peroxide and Oxyclean. No one told me that this mixture was explosive. When I added the peroxide, the stuff erupted all over my kitchen. It was late, we were tired, so the dogs slept outside that hot August night. The next morning they were thoroughly bathed - OUTSIDE and the process was repeated until the stink was faint. The skunk went on to live his life, and I believe he still lives out there. He just learned to stay on the garden side of the yard, which is fenced off from the dogs.
