The Resistance - Synthwave/Industrial - Kondensator

This was a song I've made with some beats from the week 2 exercise at Point Blank Music School , I've made 5 beat variations with the same Drum Rack , I've mixed this only with Ableton stock plugins , I've used a reverb & delay from purchased Ableton max for Live packs. I've used my experimental guitar sounds buried in the background with a lot of reverb and delay. It was kinda hard for me , the only synth I really like from Ableton stock instruments is the Wavetable synth , I found out by using the Instrument rack and putting multiple synths together I can make some decent sounds, that's what I did for the melody. I've kinda used the principle of counterpoint with the bass and melody , so that the 2 of them fit together. There is a lot of sidechaining on this track , the mix is incredibly dense with all the layers , I couldn't add anything else my CPU wouldn't allow for much more. I am going to work on other songs while I'll wait to see if I can do much better on a second try , I could still use that song for my term assignment. This song will be released in the next Cyberpunk compilation and also as a single on most streaming platforms !Show more
