This warm drink will make your breakfast or you snack a sensational experience. Try it! The atole is a hot drink thickened with corn dough or corn starch typical of Mexico and very traditional to accompany with tamales or a tamale cake. It is a sweet drink and you will find it with an endless variety of flavors such as vanilla, pecan, marzipan, cookie, strawberry or the classic chocolate-based champurrado. It is sweetened with sugar, brown sugar (piloncillo) or honey.
