Just rolling around with his tiny brothers! It's moments like this that add a simple smile to your day.

Affection and trust between brothers is something that characterizes human beings. However, dogs are also capable of identifying and loving their siblings, becoming best friends, and having great confidence. Obviously, people's brains and emotions are much more complex and intense than dogs', but that does not mean that dogs are not capable of feeling and understanding strong emotions. In this case, three brother dogs play together, but the older brother is in charge of starting the fun. He begins to turn on the ground with the intention of playing with the two puppies. The older brother goes out of his way to make his two younger brothers have as much fun as possible. This is the best big brother in the world!

It is super important that a puppy lives with its mother and siblings until at least 2 months of age. During this period the puppy will eat the best food it could receive: breast milk. With this, its immune system and the rest of its body will develop in optimal conditions. On the other hand, it is important to know that from 3 to 12 weeks the mother of the puppies will teach them to be dogs! This is where they learn to communicate and set and obey limits. They also learn to play and recognize when they are hurting another dog or misbehaving. A puppy that is separated from its mother and siblings before two months, it is very likely that it will lack basic social skills which in turn can lead to problems of fear, insecurity, and aggression when it is older.

All puppies are born with the ability to adapt to their environment. One of the key stages in every puppy is the moment when they begin to explore the world through bites — when they try to bite everything in their path. At this stage, the puppies are vulnerable and susceptible to problems like insecurity or nervousness. Boredom or abandonment greatly affects their development since it deprives them of stimuli that turn out to be essential. That is why in case we plan to incorporate a puppy in the family, it is very important that we are very well prepared and informed about its physical and mental needs.

The exact moment of the beginning of the adolescent stage depends particularly on the size or breed of each dog. Small size dogs usually enter adolescence around 6 and 8 months, large dogs between 9 and 12, and in terms of giant sizes this can happen between 12 and 18 months. At this stage, the puppies develop their character and it is here where the insecurities and fears are accentuated. It is super important that at this stage we always educate our Super Puppy with positive reinforcement techniques since scolding or punishments could make things worse.

Dogs are unique, just like us, and the beginning of the different stages of life will vary from organism to organism. Dogs age at different speeds and large dogs generally take longer to mature than small dogs. But, no matter how long they do it, they all go through the same stages of life: energetic puppy, unpredictable teenager, mature adult, and calm senior.
