This demo shows tin crystals forming from a stannous chloride solution under electrolysis. Tin ions are reduced at the cathode, depositing as metallic tin that grows into shiny crystals. Tin is familiar from electronics solder, food can coatings, and bronze alloys.

Safety note: Electrolysis involves electrical hazards and chemical solutions; this should only be performed in a controlled laboratory with proper PPE.
