Start light and carefully with these. Focus on a straight back and pinching shoulder blades. The reason this isolates quads is, when you shift the weight farther behind your center of gravity, your knee will come forward more relative to your center of gravity and shift emphasis to the knee extensors aka quads more than the hip extensors aka glutes. This also lengthens the moment arm of the quads and puts them at a mechanical advantage over the glutes when pressing into the ground. You'll notice, when done correctly, all the weight is in the front of your foot and you'll predominantly feel quads working.
