Making A Memorial With God – Ravi Chandran

The word "memorial" appears several times in the Bible and signifies a sacrificial prayer or gift tied to a vow. In both the Old and New Testaments, we find examples of individuals praying to God in desperation about impossible situations and tying their prayers to a pledge or vow. Sometimes these vows come before God as a "memorial." God takes note of them and responds according to His sovereignty. God is not "obliged" to answer any of our prayers, yet somehow a desperate act of faith catches His attention.
We'll see examples of this in Scripture, from Hannah praying for a child in the Old Testament to Cornelius's prayers and gifts to the poor in the New Testament. What does making a memorial mean? Is it relevant to our "impossible" situations today? How does one make a vow to God? When should we fulfill this vow? This video will address these questions and many other related issues.
