🇮🇹✨ Brits in the kitchen take on ITALY! Today on Mr H and Friends, our little British family is baking authentic Italian focaccia bread from scratch for the very first time! Will it rise beautifully… or collapse like our sourdough attempt last year? 👀

From activating the yeast (nerve-wracking moment!) to kneading sticky dough, waiting on the double rise, adding olive oil, rosemary, and sea salt, and finally pulling a golden loaf from the oven — this was one of the most fun (and tasty) recipes we’ve ever tried.

Special cameo: Baby Alyssa (nearly 1 month old!) joins us in the kitchen as we attempt focaccia for the very first time.

Recipe Highlights (for quick reference):

1¾ cups warm water (around 110°F)
2 tsp sugar
1 packet instant yeast (¼ oz)
500 g all-purpose flour
2 tsp kosher salt
4 tbsp olive oil (plus more for hands/pan)
Fresh rosemary + flaky sea salt for topping
🔥 Baked at 400°F (200°C) for 20–30 mins until golden brown
