Romanticism didn’t die in the 19th century—it’s alive and well in the modern radical left. From lionizing Luigi Mangione as a sex symbol to waxing poetic about “touching” messages from Charlie Kirk’s assassin, the romanticization of uncontrolled emotion, social transgression, and the chaos that follows is nothing new. Viewing criminals as either “victims of the system” or tragic heroes is a complete inversion of morality—excusing or even justifying heinous acts while treating real victims as an afterthought. But this isn’t just misplaced compassion. It goes much deeper, and much darker.
