Understanding First Fruits – Ravi Chandran

The phrase "first fruits" appears over 40 times in the Bible, but it can easily be overlooked by a casual reader. However, from Genesis to Revelation, we see its vital role at crucial moments. Proverbs 3:9-10 states, "Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” Besides the concept of the first fruits, the Bible has a similar principle regarding the firstborn. What is the connection between "first" and why is it important?
