Lease is over 🏠 — Did They Leave It Clean 🔍 or a Mess?? 👀

Today I’m checking on a rental property where the tenant has ended their lease and vacated the premises.
In property management, this step is critical — the move-out inspection tells us:
✅ If the tenant met their lease obligations
✅ Whether the property is ready for the next tenant
✅ If any repairs or cleaning will be deducted from the security deposit
The big question every time:
💡 Did they leave it in good condition… or did they leave us with a mess?
A thorough inspection includes:
Checking each room for damage
Testing appliances and utilities
Looking for cleanliness and maintenance issues
Documenting everything with photos for the file
This determines how quickly we can get the property back on the market, and whether the landlord keeps part of the deposit to cover costs.
