A strong winter storm is causing a lot of headaches for people across the Central Plains and the Midwest today. Here in Northeast Wisconsin, we are missing out on the snowfall, being in the warm sector of the storm. A warm front moved through this morning, a few light snow showers came in real early but quickly transitioned to rain and the rain has been continuous all through the afternoon. A dry slot is going to shut down most of the rainfall during the evening and overnight. A few scattered showers will be passing through as temperatures remain well above average, in the upper 30s with winds out of the southwest around 5 to 15 mph. Out high temperature for Friday will be in the early morning because a cold front is going to force some cold air and gusty winds into the area. Scattered rain showers will turn over to snow showers tomorrow afternoon with winds changing out of the north around 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures will fall below freezing by the time rain changes over to snow and a light dusting to an inch of snow will accumulate. Skies will clear from partly cloudy to mostly sunny fur the weekend with highs in the mid 20s on Saturday and the mid 30s on Sunday which happens to be the last Packers game of the season.
