Get 'Er Done to The Victory With Eyes Fixed On The Truth
Good morning, friends. Today, I've got a message to encourage, instruct, and inspire us to stand firm in faith, no matter the swirling storms around us. We live in times of chaos, confusion, and uncertainty, with noise coming at us from every direction—the news, social media, prophetic words, and well-meaning Christians pushing fear and worry. But I’m here to remind you, as I remind myself every day, that our victory is not dependent on what we see with our natural eyes or feel in our emotions. Our victory is anchored in Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, who holds us in His strong right hand and the promises that come from Declaring His Word and saying NO to evil. Operative word: "saying".
Let’s dive into the heart of this message, drawn from Psalm 118 and a powerful word from Russ Walden that I received this morning. Together, we’ll explore how to keep our faith strong, our eyes fixed on Jesus, and our steps guided by His wisdom amid the swirling noise of the world.
Faith Over Fear: The Foundation of Our Walk
“We go by faith and not by sight.” This is not just a cliché; it’s the foundation of the Christian life. We don’t trust what we see in the headlines or the chaos in the world. We trust the Word of the Lord because His promises are “yes and amen.” He is faithful to oversee every detail and faithful to deliver on His Word. No matter what present circumstances say, we know that God works everything for good. But this is not a directive to read the word and be passive, it's an instruction to be an active participant in advancing the Kingdom by refusing to tolerate evil.
There’s a lot swirling around us—news reports, political upheavals, prophetic decrees, and social media debates. It’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of fear and confusion. But God says, “Keep your eyes fixed on Me.” This is a daily invitation to shut out the noise, not by ignoring reality, but by viewing reality through His eyes.
When we keep our eyes on Jesus, He shows us how to maneuver through the challenges we face.
It’s not about abandoning all sense and sensibility. It’s about asking God for wisdom and discernment. We shut down the distractions and tune in to His voice so we can receive our next set of instructions directly from the King of Glory—the One who is victorious in every battle.
The Power of Praise: Our Highest Weaponry
Praise is more than just singing songs or lifting our hands. It is our highest form of worship and spiritual weaponry. When we praise God, we draw near to His presence, and His presence overwhelms us in the best possible way. The cares of this world fade, and our very being is saturated with His peace and strength.
Whether you praise with song, melody, or a quiet heart of thanksgiving, praise is about connecting with God in the way He has wired you. It’s personal, powerful, and transformative. So, don’t let anyone tell you there’s only one way to praise. Praise God the way He’s wired you, and watch His presence flood your life.
Psalm 118: A Daily Declaration of Victory
Psalm 118 is more than a beautiful song; it’s a set of instructions, a divine owner’s manual for living victoriously. Every morning, we declare:
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever.”
We are called not to be passive listeners but active participants. When the psalm says, “Let all Israel repeat it,” “Let Aaron’s descendants, the priests, repeat it,” and “Let all who fear the Lord repeat it,” that means you and me. We are the royal priesthood, called to proclaim God’s faithful love out loud in our homes, workplaces, and communities.
When we proclaim these truths with our mouths, we are not just making noise—we are striking the kingdom of darkness with spiritual power. Our words have weight; they change atmospheres in heaven and on earth. This is why I commit to making this a daily practice until it becomes second nature for all of us.
We Are More Than Conquerors
We are children of the Most High God, bought by the blood of Jesus. The enemy may threaten and scheme, but we will not fall prey to fear or distraction. We stand victorious, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, who makes the crooked places straight and breaks through every barrier.
Psalm 118 reminds us:
“In my distress, I called to the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free. The Lord is for me; I will not fear. What can mere mortals do to me?”
Our confidence is rooted in the fact that the Lord fights for us. We will look in triumph at those who oppose us because our victory is guaranteed. Fear has no place in the life of a believer who walks by faith.
Rejecting Fear: A Call to Spiritual Warfare
Friends, faith and fear cannot coexist. Faith pleases God; fear is the spirit of antichrist. If you find yourself gripped by fear, I urge you to bind that spirit in the name of Jesus. Wherever fear and panic are swirling—in social media groups, in conversations, in your heart—declare peace. Put on the shoes of Shalom and walk in supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding.
We are not called to be victims of the world's chaos but victors through Christ who strengthens us. The Lord’s authority is absolute. There is no panic button on His throne, and there should be none on ours. We are seated with Him in heavenly places, reigning with His power and authority.
Standing Firm Against the Spirit of Fear
It’s tempting to get sucked into the swirling narratives of conspiracy, politics, and global upheaval. There are many well-meaning voices out there, but we must filter everything through the lens of God’s Word and His promises. Our fight is from a place of victory, not fear. If God calls you to engage in battle, do so knowing you are already victorious.
Remember, the only thing that can block God’s blessings is unbelief. If you sense there’s something in your heart blocking the fullness of God’s promises—whether doubt, fear, or unbelief—ask Him to reveal it and help you put it under your feet in authority.
God’s Unchanging Promises in a Shifting World
Even though the surface circumstances may shift—economic turmoil, political unrest, natural disasters—the fundamentals of God’s Word remain unchanged. He has not altered His intentions for you. He has not withdrawn any of His promises concerning your destiny.
God said:
“My inherent capability to uphold you is intact. My resolute intention is to effect profound and positive change in your life. Nothing is too challenging for Me to navigate and overcome for your benefit.”
We must settle this truth deeply inside our spirits: God is the constant one. He never fails. While the storms rage around us, the sun is still shining behind the clouds. The fundamentals are steady, and His power is at work to bring you through.
The Timing is Now
God’s timing is perfect. He is bringing forth precise and timely solutions to disruptions, even in relationships. Prodigal sons and daughters, friends, and family members will come home. The discord will be quelled by the Spirit of God. Our deliverance and triumph are assured.
So, relax your apprehension and place your trust entirely in His hand. The Lord is continuously at work on your behalf.
Living as Overcomers in the Midst of Change
We are living through a great spiritual and geopolitical chess game. While many see only chaos and confusion, we see God’s hand moving behind the scenes. The Republic of America is being reborn; righteous governance is rising. The military movements and political shifts we observe are part of God’s sovereign plan.
It’s easy to get caught up in the swirling narratives about presidents, governments, and global conspiracies. But remember, God placed leaders where they are for a time and season. We pray for them, stand in the gap for righteousness, and trust God’s ultimate plan.
A Lesson From The Indy 500: Keep Your Eyes Fixed on the Pace Car
Here’s a powerful analogy: Imagine we are all driving on the race track of life, and Jesus is the pace car. We don’t try to speed ahead or fall behind. We stay in perfect pace behind Him, trusting His lead. He knows the track, the obstacles, and the finish line.
So, don’t get distracted by the noise around you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Let Him guide your next steps. This is how we walk in victory every day.
Conclusion: No Turning Back, Eyes Forward
As we close today, I want to encourage you with this resolution: “I have decided to follow Jesus. No turning back.” The world will swirl and shake, but we stand on the unshakable kingdom of God. We will keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, proclaim His faithful love, and walk in the victory He has already won for us.
Let’s commit to daily declaring Psalm 118 until it is embedded in our very being. Let’s praise God in all things, even in the midst of difficulties. Let’s fight from a place of victory, not fear. And let’s be a godly irritant in the world—reminding ourselves and others of who we are in Christ.
Remember, the Lord is shining upon us today. His faithful love endures forever. His right hand holds us victorious. Let’s get this done—standing firm, walking in faith, and living in the light of the new day He has made.
Praise God. Amen.
