When God's Silence Is the Message: Rest, Recalibration and a New Season
In my latest video I share what the Lord has been unfolding in the quiet hours — a word about silence as speech, a call back to rest, and a vision for a seismic season change. This post is drawn from that message and written in the same voice you heard on the call: raw, pastoral, prophetic and practical. If you joined me live you know the cadence; if you didn't, read with expectancy. I believe this is for many of you.
Overview — What I felt the Lord say
For several days I sat in silence, asking the same questions you sometimes ask: "Have I missed it? Am I out of alignment?" The Lord answered not with new instructions, but with a presence so clear that the lack of noise became the word.
Here are the headlines of what I shared:
The Lord speaks in silence — learn to hear that silence.
A fresh reading of Matthew 11: Jesus' reply to John the Baptist and the meaning of "bless."
A prophetic vision: a chessboard, all pieces knocked off — "fresh start, game over."
You're being called into rest: the unforced rhythms of grace, a lighter yoke, deeper abiding.
Wisdom now matters — ask and it will be poured out; hydrate, then build.
The silence that is the word
I began by reminding myself out loud: "Do you not know that I can speak to you in the silence?" So many of you are desperate to get a word. Listen — sometimes the silence is the message. The GPS on a long straight highway goes quiet because there are no new instructions. That silence tells you to keep going. That’s exactly what the Lord pressed into me.
"My silence is my voice."
That line changed everything for me. It allowed me to stop anxiety-driven searching for instruction and instead sit in the peace and presence that confirms alignment. When I asked, "Lord, did I miss it?" He said to me "Are you not the one who says: ' the only thing I'm afraid of is being outside of your presence?' and I said yes. Hi then said, what it feel like outside of my presence? I responded: dis-ease, chaos, uncertainty, disturbed. He then said, Are you experiencing that? I said no. Then He said, there, then is your answer. He brought me then to Matthew 11. "Come to me all of you who are weary and heavily burdened and I will give you rest." The answer was calm: if you feel my presence, you are not out of alignment.
Return to Matthew 11 — what Jesus told John the Baptist
John, even knowing the family lineage and the prophecies surrounding him, wrestled with doubt in prison. He sent disciples to ask Jesus, "Are you the Messiah, or should we look for another?" Jesus' response was not an elaborate explanation but an invitation to observe the evidence of His presence:
"Go back and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the good news preached to them."
Then Jesus blessed "those who do not turn away because of me." I preached that the word bless in Scripture is not primarily material accumulation, but the empowerment that flows from God's presence — success, favor and influence in every sphere. When God blesses you, He empowers you to prosper where He has placed you.
The prophetic chessboard vision — "Fresh start. Game over."
Speaking to the Lord about all the evil that is playing out in our Nation(s) with WHO agendas, UN Agendas, WEF Agendas and a government destroying our economy & restricting our resources, aligning itself with Hamas and turning it's back on Israel, I cried out, it's all so much to take on. We let it go so far we cannot right it without the Lord's help. Almost immediately in a brief open vision I saw a giant chessboard with all pieces set and then the arm of the Lord sweep down and knock every piece off. He said, "Fresh start. Game over." I wasn't told the "when" — just the certainty of the shift itself.
That image is not merely dramatic symbolism. It reflects what I believe is next: a shaking of the seven mountains of influence — government, education, the arts, media, finance, family, and religion. The ne'er-do-wells who have taken over are about to be dislodged. There will be chaos, yes. But God is provisioning a people who will steward what He restores.
I said clearly on the call: this will look like restitution, recovery and a great wealth transfer for those He can trust to steward it. It will bring Goshen-like provision — a place of refuge and blessing in the midst of national disruption.
Why this matters to you
Because whenever systems are reset, dependencies vanish. Banks, ATMs, online systems — anything we assume will always be there — might fail. The Lord is asking us to be ready: spiritually, practically and administratively. To be ready we must stop running, come to Him, and ask for the wisdom only He gives.
The unforced rhythms of grace — rest is preparation
This is the core of the message: God is changing the pace. He is inviting us into a slower rhythm so He can download new blueprints, strategies and fresh ways of operating. The word He gave me repeatedly was the "unforced rhythm of grace."
"Come to me, all who are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."
He said, "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." The image of the yoke is crucial. A yoke is teammate-ship, not slavery. When you yoked with Jesus, you work with His pace, not against it. I'm asking you to exchange frenetic productivity for steady partnership with Him.
Take my story for example: I spent weeks worrying if the silence meant I'd missed something. He simply asked, "Are you experiencing chaos and unease?" No. "Then there you have your answer." That changed my posture. The rest I felt wasn't passive — it was preparatory. God is filling and empowering us now so that when the pieces fall off the board, we have what we need to steward the renewal.
Hydrate, then build
One of the subtler directives in the call: "Hydrate then build." Reattach to the vine. Drink from the fountain of His presence daily. Do not rush into projects or new strategies from a place of exhaustion. Receive the blessing and enablement first — then act. There is a new way to reveal and build, and it requires a different internal pace than many of us have been running.
Ask for wisdom — it will be poured out
I emphasized James 1:5: if you lack wisdom, ask. The Lord said plainly He will pour out wisdom lavishly. You cannot lead in a new season with yesterday's wisdom alone. I told you about tearing apart my Harley and teaching myself how to work in tight spaces: I watched videos, learned, prepared. The Lord is instructing us the same way — study, but primarily stay at His feet and ask for wisdom so the download happens through His voice.
Practical actions I urged:
Stop reacting to every online controversy. Discern and guard the heart.
Begin sovereign preparation: steward what you have wisely.
Seek wisdom and repent quickly where pride or offense have crept in.
Practice the unforced rhythms of grace: daily stillness, Sabbath moments, slowing down.
Personal examples to make it real
I shared candid moments because I know you live in the same world of critique, weariness and expectation. People have accused me of arrogance, lacking humility, picking fights. I have publicly repented when when the Lord has convicted me and I've stood steadfast when the Lord has convinced me.  Yet the Lord still speaks: "You've got nothing else to prove." That liberating truth matters for you as well. Your performance isn't what keeps you in His presence — repentance and abiding are.
How to practically live this message
Begin each morning with a stillness practice — even five minutes before you reach for your phone.
Ask: "Lord, am I experiencing chaos or peace?" Use His answer to recalibrate your obediential posture.
Tell the Spirit you will "hydrate then build" — prioritize abiding before projects.
Ask for wisdom daily — expect it to come in small downloads, strategy sessions and ordinary encounters.
Repent quickly and publicly when necessary — humility keeps your place in His presence.
Conclusion — the invitation
Friends, we are entering a new epoch. It's not just a calendar shift — it's a reshaping of how we operate as ekklesia. There will be shaking, but there's also restoration and a great transfer for faithful stewards. The key now is to stop running in our own strength and to learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
Stay yoked to Jesus. Receive His rest. Hydrate at the vine and then build. Ask for wisdom. Be ready for the fresh start He pictured: when the strong arm moves and the pieces fall off the chessboard, you’ll be the one standing ready to steward the new Goshen of blessing He's assigning.
Come. Sit with me. Dine with me. Learn to move from surviving to thriving in the new ways the Lord is unveiling.
