God's Cleaning Your Silverware So We Can Eat in Unity
Today is a brand new day—a fresh start that the Lord has graciously made for us. As I speak to you now, I want you to feel the weight and the beauty of this truth: whatever happened yesterday, last week, or even years ago, you have the divine opportunity to bury it six feet under. Jesus took all that stuff into the grave with Him, and left it there. Today is about leaving behind bitterness, hurts, regrets, and stepping into a new season with the sweet fragrance of the Lord all over you.
It’s your choice whether to carry the burdens of past seasons or to embrace this fresh start. But hear me clearly: this is not the way of Yahweh. He invites us to rejoice and be glad in this day He has made—whether you say it “be glad and rejoice” or “rejoice and be glad,” either way, make the decision to be glad today.
Fixing Our Eyes on the Lord Amidst Chaos
We live in turbulent times. Los Angeles is burning, chaos is rampant, and lawlessness seems to be on the rise. The mainstream media tries to paint a peaceful picture, but we know better. Police officers are under attack, cities are in turmoil, and political leaders are issuing cease and desist orders that leave us wondering who truly holds the reins of power.
But in the midst of this chaos, the Lord says, “Look at what I’m doing, not what the devil is doing.” He reminds us of Psalm 11, where it says, “My faith shelters my soul continuously in Yahweh.” Your soul—the combination of your mind, will, and emotions—needs a shelter. If your emotions are scattered and fear is running rampant, this is the moment to anchor your faith in the Lord’s protection.
Do you truly trust Him? This is a question the Lord asks us today. Trust isn’t just lip service; it’s a deep, abiding confidence that finds refuge under the shadow of the Almighty, not in fleeing to the mountains like a frightened bird.
God’s Sovereignty Over Lawlessness
The foundations of law and order may seem to be collapsing around us. Whether it’s the political unrest in Canada or the lawlessness in American cities, it can feel overwhelming. But Yahweh is never shaken. He reigns from His holy temple and watches every heart with piercing eyes. His heavenly rule will prevail over all.
In these times, the righteous are called to stand firm, to remain blameless, and to live lives of truth and integrity. Psalm 15 reminds us that those who may worship in God’s sanctuary are those who lead blameless lives, speak truth from sincere hearts, refuse gossip, honor the faithful, and keep their promises—even when it hurts.
The Call to Unity and Love in the Church
One of the greatest burdens on the heart of the Lord is the disunity and lack of love within His church. This shaking, this violent shaking He speaks of, is not to harm but to heal. It is a refining fire meant to purify and unite His people.
We are called to love one another as Jesus loved us. This love is the identifying mark of His disciples. Yet, backbiting, gossip, and harsh judgments create division and give the enemy a foothold in the body of Christ.
I want to be transparent with you: recently, I myself was convicted over how I handled a situation involving false doctrine. I defended the truth, yes, but my manner was harsh and lacked the gentleness the Lord desires. Instead of shutting the door on those who err, we are to offer gentle rebukes in love. This is a lesson I am embracing deeply, and I invite you to do the same.
Repentance and Restoration
Where have you partnered with disunity, even subtly, in your thoughts, words, or actions? Have you judged others instead of seeking God’s heart for them? These are sobering questions we all must honestly answer.
The Lord is shaking His church to expose pride, judgment, entitlement, and imperfect love in our hearts. His desire is for us to come before Him in humility, to repent, and to be restored. Judgment begins in the house of the Lord, not to punish but to elevate us to a place where we can reign and rule with Him in righteousness.
Confession is key. If there is anything you need to make right—go and do it. Don’t let pride or fear hold you back. The Lord promises that when we come clean before Him, His fire can purify us and empower us to walk in greater love and unity.
The Power of Our Words
Our words carry great power. Through our mouths, we can bless or curse, build up or tear down. The Lord calls us to repent from speaking words of death, judgment, and dishonor over one another.
Imagine every word you speak flowing out like the sweetest fruit from heaven’s orchard—cherries, pineapples, blueberries—whatever your favorite is. Let this be the fruitfulness of your speech from this day forward.
This is not about perfection, but about surrender and intentionality. When we allow the Holy Spirit to convict us and teach us, our words begin to align with God’s heart, bringing life and healing instead of division and pain.
Fear and Love: Walking in the Spirit
The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear or judgment but of power, love, and sound mind. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and casts out all other fears. As we embrace His perfect love, fear loses its grip, and we are empowered to walk boldly in faith.
When fear tries to overwhelm us, remember the promise that God is with us, that He will never leave us or forsake us. Rest in Him. Abide in Him. This is where you find strength—not by might or power, but by His Spirit.
Preparing for a Greater Glory
The Lord is shaking the earth and the heavens, but the purpose is to unite and bring forth a greater glory than ever before. This shaking will expose the dross—the impurities in our hearts and in the church—so that we may be refined like pure silver and gold.
He is raising up a bride who is spotless and pure, living in oneness with Him and with one another. Our call is to be part of this holy movement, to lay down unforgiveness, bitterness, and pride, and to embrace love, humility, and unity.
As Psalm 24 asks, “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place?” Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols or tell lies, and who keep their promises even when it hurts.
Living as Temples of the Holy Spirit
We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, the gateways between heaven and earth. The glory of the Lord will fill us and flow through us, impacting the world around us. The future glory of this temple will be greater than its former glory because we are being filled afresh with the Spirit of God.
Let us be vessels of peace, love, and righteousness in a world desperately in need of hope. Let us be known by our love, not disunity or judgment. This is the testimony that will draw others to Christ.
Conclusion: Embracing the Fresh Start
So today, I invite you to embrace this fresh start. Bury the past—whatever it is—at the cross. Lay down your hurts, regrets, bitterness, and unforgiveness. Confess what needs to be confessed, repent where necessary, and receive the healing and freedom that only Jesus can give.
Fix your eyes on the Lord. Trust Him for protection and provision. Walk in love and unity with your brothers and sisters. Speak words that build up and bless. Abide in the Spirit and be filled afresh with His power and love.
This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Let us rise up as an unshakable kingdom, strengthened not by our might but by the Spirit of God. Together, let us shine as lights in the darkness, ushering in the greatest wave of glory this earth has ever seen.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May His Spirit fill you anew and empower you to walk in His love and truth every day. Amen.
