Thank you, Lord, for this day—a day You have made. This isn't just a rote phrase or a familiar scripture I’m repeating. I mean it with every fiber of my being. Today is a brand new day, a fresh start, and a divine opportunity. We have been made for a time such as this, for new assignments, new mantles, new everything. This truth isn't just a scripture story; it’s our reality.

Living in the Dash: Understanding Our Time

Have you ever noticed the dash on a tombstone? It marks the time between a person’s birth and their passing. We are all living in that dash—our lifetime, our purpose. God knew the exact moment we would be born and the moment we would depart. He crafted us for this specific season, this exact moment.

So today, we thank God that yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not yet here, and all we have is the dash—the present moment. We live in this dash, and He is our Good Shepherd, leading us to green pastures and quiet waters. We might not have everything we want, but we have everything we need—air to breathe, water to drink, and food to nourish us. And when we live with a heart of thankfulness, God brings us all that we need for this day.

Seeking the Secret Place: Ascending to the Throne Room

God is inviting us to come up higher, to enter the secret place. Why is it secret? Because it’s between you and God. It’s a sacred, intimate encounter where He reveals divine strategies, things you could never figure out on your own. This is the place where He shows you what you need for the day ahead.

Many of us have now experienced this ascension into His throne room. If you need a reminder, go back and revisit that moment on our meeting June 02, 2025. The invitation remains open: "Come on up here. Spend time with Me." This isn’t a one-time event; it should be a daily practice. The more you come, the more you will be saturated with His presence and fragrance—so much so that others will notice it even if you don’t.

The Resting Place in His Love

He offers us a resting place in His luxurious love, an oasis of peace by still waters. This is not just poetic imagery—it is a reality you can experience. The comfort of His love casts out fear, and He leads us on the right path for His glory. Even when we walk through the darkest valleys, fear will never conquer us because His authority is our strength and peace.

Loneliness can be a struggle for many, but when God is near, you will never be alone. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you. His presence fills the voids in our hearts, healing wounds and setting us free.

Divine Appointments and the Overflowing Cup

Just recently, I was out walking the neighbor's dog when I encountered a man on a park bench. I wasn’t seeking anything spiritual—I just wanted a walk. But God’s presence was so strong that the man could sense it. I ended up leading him to Christ, breaking off chains of depression right there. These divine appointments are increasing because we are being saturated with God’s presence.

When you spend time with God, His spirit flows through you effortlessly. You won’t even realize when He’s using you until you see the fruit. This is pure joy and delight, not a burden or chore.

Why Fear the Future?

With God’s goodness and tender love pursuing us all our days, why would we fear what lies ahead? When our lives are over, we return to His glorious presence forever. This is the beautiful arc of our journey—from the dash of life to eternal rest in Him.

Clothed with Honor: The Coronation Time

God is clothing us with a garment of honor for the character we have displayed through seasons of trial. He’s removing old, filthy garments and preparing us for coronation—a holy occasion in the secret place. This transformation will be evident to all, seen in your countenance and daily life.

We are entering a season to demonstrate and display honor to His name. The encounters, divine appointments, and unusual meetings are orchestrated by God. These moments reveal our transformation from ordinary to extraordinary.

Along with the crown fitted just for you, you will receive a scepter signifying your authority in kingdom affairs. Arise from the ashes of despair and reach out to the throne. The angels are sounding trumpets for your rising.

The Great Shaking and Our Role

There is much talk about a great shaking coming. Remember, God is shaking everything that can be shaken for our good. The rapture isn’t for us; it’s for the evildoers. We are inheriting an unshakable kingdom, and the shaking prepares us for that inheritance.

We are not being pulled out but being prepared to reign and rule alongside Christ as judgment comes upon those who oppose God’s kingdom. This is our great time, our coronation moment. The shaking activates this moment—do not fear it.

Understanding the Altar: Our Spiritual Gateway

So, what exactly is an altar? It’s more than just a physical structure; it’s a spiritual gateway between the natural and spiritual realms. It is our heart, our priority, our intimate communion with God. An altar is a place of sacrifice—not animals, but our time, our worship, our surrender.

Jacob’s Story: A Biblical Example of an Altar

Jacob’s story in Genesis 28 shows us the power of an altar. Running away from God and family, he stopped to rest and unknowingly laid his head on a stone at the very place his grandfather Abraham had built an altar a hundred years earlier. Because of that altar, heaven was open, and God spoke to him in a dream.

Jacob said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” He was not looking for God, but God found him there. This altar created a spiritual gateway that remained active and opened heaven to Jacob despite his sin and rebellion.

This story reminds us that the altars we build today have lasting effects—opening portals for God’s presence not only in our lives but for generations to come.

Jesus: The New Ladder and Daily Encounter

Jesus referenced Jacob’s ladder when He told Nathanael that he would see heaven open and angels ascending and descending on the Son of Man. Jesus is the new ladder, the gateway to heaven. This encounter is not a one-time event; it is meant to be daily.

When you consecrate yourself and build your altar, you open the door for daily encounters with God. This is how the spiritual realm touches the physical realm, and how you can experience the presence of God vividly and tangibly.

Turn off phones, computers, and other interruptions.
Come with a heart ready to worship and surrender.
Practice shutting out the noise of the world and opening your spirit to God’s presence.
Be consistent—like training a muscle, the more you practice, the easier it becomes.

This discipline is not burdensome; it is a joy and a delight because it connects you with the limitless presence of God.

Saturation in God’s Glory: Living as a Portal

You are not just a believer; you are a chosen vessel, an altar, a portal of God’s glory. When you spend time in the secret place, you become saturated with His presence—a living sacrifice through whom God’s power flows. This presence will overflow into your daily life and impact everyone around you.

Like recently, after a dinner with friends, a mother turned to me and said, “It’s really true what they say about you.” I laughed and said, “Oh God, I hope not!” She replied, “No, you don’t even know what they’re saying about you now. But after tonight, I know it’s true.”

These testimonies remind us that the fruit of spending time with God is visible and undeniable. Even if you don’t see it, others will.

The Call to Commitment: Showing Up for God

One of the biggest obstacles to experiencing more of God is distraction and inconsistency. If you say you want more of Him, you must show up. Just like any important appointment, if you consistently miss it, the relationship suffers.

God is gracious and patient, but He desires faithfulness. If you truly want to deepen your relationship with Him, prioritize time in the secret place. Shut off distractions, turn on your heart, and come ready to engage.
